Table Description:  Delaware Marriage Records - 1645-1899

These records provide information for marraiges that occurred in the counties of Kent, New Castle and Sussex as well as the cities of Middletown, Milford, Newark and Wilmington. Also included in the microfilm are marriages that occured during this time period but in locations that were not notated for some reason.

The records in this database have been compiled from town and county marriage records found on microfilm reels 000-6416 thru 000-6422 obtained from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. These films are available at any local LDS library."



Name of Table:  Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900 (View Records!)
Table Description:  Since 1985 the Illinois State Genealogical Society (ISGS) has cooperated with the Illinois State Archives to create an index to Illinois marriages occurring prior to 1901. Today more than one million marriages, or two million names, are included in the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index. Data entry has been done by Archives staff and volunteers working on mainframe terminals at the Illinois State Archives and by other volunteers who have entered hundreds of thousands of marriages at home on their personal computers.

The sources for this index include original county clerks? marriage records, such as marriage registers and licenses, as well as publications of county genealogical societies and private individuals. For each marriage, the index includes the names of the groom and bride, the date of the marriage or issuance of the license, the name of the county in which the marriage was performed, and a citation to the original record?volume and page number for registers or file number for licenses. Volume and page or license numbers are omitted in the index when published sources failed to provide this information.

Table Description:  This table contains a broad variety of Williams marriage records, including licenses and baans. They range from all over the country and in general contain the state, county, groom name, bride name and marriage date. In many cases, additional information such as age, race, performed by, etc are also available.

Name of Table:  Orleans Parish, Louisiana Marriage Index (View Records!)
Table Description:  The following information was imported by Adrian Williams from the Orleans Parish Rootsweb website with permission from Colleen Fitzpatrick. The records were extracted from the Birth Rolls of Orleans Parish by New Orleans Volunteer Association (NOVA), which consists of over 200 volunteers. To receive a copy of any of the certificates in any of the Birth, Death or Marriage Indexes, Please send $5.00 with the NAME, volume & PAGE # to the LA Archives at the address below. The Louisiana Archives does not have copies of the civil marriage licenses prior to 1870. They only have the indexes. To get further information, you might want get a copy of the sacramental records if your ancestor was Catholic. It can be obtained by writing to the Archdiocese Archives, 1100 Chartres Ave., New Orleans, LA 70116.
